Janelle Saenz, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping others heal and grow into the best version of themselves. From a young age she knew she wanted to be therapist. Her own experience with a school psychologist inspired her to provide a safe and healing space for others to overcome their challenges.
She has worked with the 0-5 population, mothers of young children, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She utilizes Cognitive Behavior therapy, attachment, psychodynamic therapy and EMDR to assist clients IN meeting their treatment goals. She provides clients with tools to cope with their feelings, thought patterns, and aims to increase client’s awareness about their attachment style to improve their functioning in relationships.
She is passionate about working with the Latino community. It is important to her that she provides culturally sensitive therapy and integrates a client’s culture, background, beliefs, and values into the therapeutic work.
Education:
Janelle received her Master of Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in child development from Cal State Fullerton. She has experience working in multiple settings such as county funded mental health agencies, community prisoner programs, and emergency intake sites.
